Abstract

The Novel “Giran” presents different aspects of   Pothwari culture. As pothwar has its own unique culture, language and tradition which beautifully present by the writer . It seems the writer has keen observation about their believes, language , rituals, their psyche, even she didn’t neglect the minor details. She explains the exploitation at different levels happened in the life of   Pothwari people. As well as life and the living styles of two different generations are discussed.The rebellion behavior of characters and their impact are also the part of this novel. In this article an attempt is made to present a review of this novel by highlighting its different aspects.
