Abstract

This study presents a thematic analysis of the short fiction written by representative women writers of Multan. Women's contribution to Urdu short story writing has played a significant role in highlighting social realities and women's perspective attention. Study reveals the writer’s deep engagement with the lived experiences of women and their struggle for recognition, autonomy, and dignity within a traditionally structured society. The findings suggest that the women short story writers of Multan have made a meaningful contribution to Urdu fiction by presenting authentic portrayals of local culture and social dynamics while also addressing broader human and feminist concerns. Their works not only reflect the realities of their socio-cultural environment but also enrich Urdu short story literature with new thematic and narrative dimensions.
