Pakistani novel in English language are recognized and appreciated internationally. Mumtaz Shahnawaz was Pakistan’s first English novelist of Pakistan. His novel "The Heart Divided" deals with Partition’s trauma of Subcontinent. Ahmed Ali a renowned progressive writer wrote three novels in english.His famous novel "The Murder of Aziz Khan" was published in 1967. Another famouse Novelist is Bapsi Sidhwa, She wrote five english novels. Government of Pakistan awarded him the highest civil award sitara-i-Imtiaz for her literary contribution. Nadeem Aslam, Kamila Shamsie, Mohsin Hamid, Fatima Bhutto, Moni Mohsin, Muhammad Hanif are some internationally renownd Pakistani Novelists.
