Abstract

Different types of imagery are used by poets to reflect feelings and emotions and to narrate events and incidents. These types of imagery are classified on the basis of different human senses as visual, auditory, tactile and olfactory. Majeed  Amjad is one of those poets who used this artistic tool to present his delicate thoughts which are created as a result of his poetic experiences and observations. Besides visual, auditory and tactile, there are so many examples of olfactory imagery in his poems. This aspect of his poetry has been discussed and analyzed in this article.
