Abstract

Novel is a modern form of literature which explore the truth through its characters. Urdu Novel introduced many characters i.eKhoji, Ibn-ul-waqat, Umrao Jan Adaa, Champa, Naeem etc. who represent certain positions & atmosphere. In this article efforts have been made to discuss some characters of the Novels (Raja Gidh, AageySamanddar hay, Dakiaaorjulaha, and Jandar) which are symbolic. These characters represent more than one aspect and without understanding these characters one can’t not unfold the meaning of the stories while analysis of characterization the writers view point also kept in mind alongwith plots format.

The Characters not only represent the external happenings in the literature but also project the inner world of human being. Of the character one is the mouthpiece of novelist, who conveys the real world Outlook at perceived the novelist.
