Abstract

Akhtar Usman's poetic diction with respect to "Chiraagh Zaar" Akhtar Usman is a renowned poet, crictic, columnist and writer. "Chiraagh Zaar" is his latest poetry book published by Rumail House of Publications Rawalpindi. This book mostly contains one of the most populor Genre the Ghazal. He chisels out on many places in this book, his many verses as glowing stars. He is not only well-aware of the Urdu conventional norms, but also has a very keen interest in English & Persian Poetry and Litrature too. Akhtar Usman follows some of the most important poets such as Ghalib and Mirza Abdul Qadir Bedil. In this sense he can be really called the "Neoclassical" poet. He is of the view to present the progressive points and aspects of life and he stands very prominent in contemporary poets of Urdu.
