Abstract

The Ravi is an important and historical magazine of Government College Lahore. It was first issued in July 1906, forty two years after the establishment of Government College. Many men of repute got the honour to be the editor of the Ravi and Patras Bokhari is the most important of them. Patras Bokhari was the student, professor and later principal of the Government College Lahore. In his student life he remained its editor since October 1919 to January 1921. He played very active and pivital role in developing the Ravi, particularly Urdu portion regarding the introducing poetry, prose, humour and editorial writing. His writings were being published in the mahazine even after the student life. In this research article an introductory and analytical review of the writings of Patras Bokhari as editor and as old Ravian is given.
