It is a universal truth that every language has its own flavor and linguistic features peculiar to itself. This peculiarity can’t be transformed in any other language. That is why translation is not an alternate to creation. But at the same time, translation has its own existence.
A sufficient knowledge of the source text and target text and of the subject matter is suffice for technical and scientific texts, but to translate literary or creative writing is very complex phenomenon. The process of versified translation Is much more complex. The first and foremost condition for versified translator is that he himself should be a poet. He should be well versed in prosody also. Moreover, the translator should try to comprehend the mental sphere of the poet in totality. The present article discusses in detail the issues involved in versified translation. It also discusses the role of inter translation among oriental languages
