Abstract

kashmir is Heaven on Earth. Kashmiri has famous for their erudition and luminaries past. World first Iqbal Chair was installed in Kashmir university Srinagar in Indian Occupied Kashmir in 1977, Aali Ahmad Saroor was appointed first Iqbal professor in it. After two years in 1979 this Iqbal Chair was designated as Iqbal Instituate and its started Academic and research activities. Apart from this Iqbal Institute Jammu University, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art and Cullture and Iqbal Academy Srinagar also promoting the light of Iqbal philosophy in Indian Occupied Kashmir. These Institutes also translated the poetry of Iqbal into many languages i-e, Doghri, Hindi, Kashmiri, Sunskrit, Punjabi and Urdu. More-ever these Institutes organised seminars, extension lectures, conducted infinite conferences and published scores of books over poetry and philosophy of poet of East. Universities of Indian Occupied Kashmir producing dissertations and thesis from Master to PhD in Iqbal political, religious, economic, social and spiritual aspects.
