Abstract

ABSTRACT

The novel is the study of human life, that deals with human beings' problems. In Urdu Literature, from Deputy Nazir Ahmad to Asmat Chughtai,  many changes happen. Specifically, the conditions of 1857 are beautifully portrayed in novels. Individuals' political, economic, social, cultural and religious lives were presented in new ways. The adverse effects of Britain colonialism, capitalist rule and the social atrocities by Britain can be seen in the 19th-century novels. In the same way, in the 20th century, we can see psychological dilemmas in novels as well, specifically, Freud's Psychoanalysis helped to explain humans' psychological predicaments. This article has illustrated the personal problems of individuals in the novels from Nazir Ahmad to Asmat Chughtai.
