Satire, Political Satire, Political Satire in Persian Literature, Satire in Political movements of Iran.Abstract
The world knows Ali Akbar Dehkhoda more than the Dehkhoda dictionary he compiled. Apart from being a compiler of a comprehensive dictionary and encyclopedia, he was also a satirist, but his earlier work was so pervasive in the literary world that people were unaware of his other literary contributions. This article discusses the political satire of his satirical writings and links the political motives of his satire to the conditions of the Iranian journalistic, political and literary movement "Constitutional Moment" in the early twentieth century. In contrast to the classical satire and humour of Persian literature, the satire of Dehkhoda has a political sting and reflects the spirit of the age
