Abstract

  Andalusia of the past (Modern Spain) has a permanent mark on the poetry of Iqbal. The scholarly deeds and socio political adventures of the Muslim Arabs of the Middle Ages in Spain is a source of vital force in Iqbal’s thoughts. In almost all his verses a reader feels the aesthetics and grandeur of Andalusian portraits which are valued highly by Iqbal and which are considered as the marvel of the past .Ins this article these jewels of Iqbal’s thoughts are discussed and analyzed with reference to specific Iqbal’s verses, so to grasp the importance and value of the past Andalusia (Undlasiyyat) in the thoughts and poetry of Iqbal
