Abstract

The ‘word' also changes its meaning with the passage of time. In the process, either its meanings disappear or the true meaning hidden in the ‘word’ finds its real era. In particular, texts that share ancient and modern cultural significance offer important implications for the times to come. The present age is trying to dissolve in sequential order, the current-day texts in the context of the past as well as the present and the future. More specifically the ‘words’ in the literary texts written in the twentieth century are precursor to the universal realities of the arts and culture of the next century. The indication of historical vocabulary it is possible for the future only when the ‘words’ are harmonized with the simple meaning.

        "Aaag Ka Darya" is such a novel whose simple language, translated in modern-day easily understood expressions, has hidden modern-day meaning for the contemporary reader.

        In this article, an attempt has been made to present simple meanings of the words in terms of the real meaning i.e. temporal application of such words.
