Abstract

 The article is based on the analysis of prosody ( the pattern of rhythm and intonation) in the poetry of the reputed contemporary poet tawseef tabbasum. prosody is explicated and discussed briefly in the introduction. later, a comprehensive analysis of his poetry is conducted on the grounds of prosody and its essential features. both quantitative and qualitative methods of research have been utilized/applied in the research work.
