Abstract

When progressive literary movement took the form of propaganda in Urdu literature.Shams.ur.Rehman Farooqi, who is a pioneer of modernity, saw that fiction writers had started writing fiction like newspapers. To address this, he tried  to prevent fiction from becoming news worthy .Shams.ur.Rehman Farooqi published magazine in 1966 called Shab Khoon. This Magazine laid the foundation of the revolutionary trends of modernity in Urdu literature. It provided a platform for fiction writers in the modern scenario. Shab Khoon promoted symbolic and abstract fiction. Shams-ur-Rehman Farooqi published fiction in this magazine, which had introduced creative glory and new experiences. Political or social motives were not given precedence over art in these myths. New experiments in Urdu fiction brought newness and freshness to the fiction. Farooqi introduced the reader a new thinking. Introduced new fiction writers to the literary world. Many fictions reached the readers through this magazine.
