Firaq Gorakhpuri, a well-known Urdu poet, transformed ghazals according to the Indian mood with culture of Hindi and Urdu language. He inserted Indian-style of feelings and real Indian essence in his Ghazals which shows that every word of his poetry reflects the Indian civilization, social beliefs and customs of the society. Gorakhpuri had great love for his homeland and he poured symbols, visualization, and all other stuff in his poetry. He defined Indian culture as mixed culture which prevailed in India in 20th century and also part of mood of society. His Ghazals reflect knowledge and thoughts besides traditions of Hindi and Sanskrit. Firaq’s poetry is not only collection of different subjects of Indian civilization but it contains different angle of expression which strengthen the gender of Ghazal and highlight its importance. At the other side, these different subjects of poetry encircled deep feelings, deep devotion, Indian religions, love, gods, music, nature, woman's feelings and civilization of sub-continent. In Firaq’s poetry, one could find out beauty of language, feelings, classical mood, experience in the stanzas of his Ghazals. Firaq’s put stories of Ganga, Ram, Laxman, Jugi, Kirshan, Arjun and others in his poetry.
