Abstract

Essence of iftikhar Jalib `s poetry emerges from the reality of change which is the base of developing universe and human societies. Iftikhar Jalib mentions in the preface of his book entitled Maakahz that the changing universe produces more reactions and an endless cycle of change begins. This could also be taken as a starting point of the new human perspectives. The poets who face new civilization, educational system and way of life can change their traditional way of thinking. When the insufficient traditional symbols lose their expressiveness during facing aforementioned advanced, variable the necessity for the quest of new expressions takes its way. Iftikhar Jalib and his companions introduced new methods of writing poetry. They are of the opinion that they cannot deviate from their original perceptions in order to maintain the false dignity of language. Their passions according to them do not fit into the traditional symbols and conventional linguistic patterns. That's why they inevitably challenged the so-called linguistic prohibitions.
