Allama Iqbal is one of the prominent Urdu and Persian poets of the 20th Century who openly criticized the negative aspects of Western civilization. Among these intellectual movements of Western civilization there is also atheism. It is no secret that the religion of Islam is the center of his poetry and atheism rejects religion. This is a rational attitude in which the existence of God is denied and attempts are made to prove through rational arguments that the universe has always existed and will always exist. Iqbal’s entire poetry rejects this attitude and declares that this universe is the creation of God and is running by His command. In this research paper, an attempts has been made to aplly the theoretical discussions of atheism to iqbal’s words so that Iqbal’s thoughts regarding atheism can be understood.
