Abstract

This article presents a critical and analytical review of the book Iqbal aur Mashriqi authored by Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Awan. The study examines the research methodology and critical approach adopted by the author, with particular focus on how effectively he highlights and interprets the ideological and intellectual differences between Allama Mashriqi and Allama Iqbal. After a close evaluation of the book, the article analyzes the extent to which Dr. Zahoor Awan succeeds in presenting these differences in a balanced and scholarly manner. Since the primary objective of the book is to refute the objections raised against Allama Iqbal, this article also assesses how convincingly and fairly the author defends Iqbal’s intellectual and philosophical stance. Given the significance of the subject, the book holds considerable academic importance, and this article attempts to determine how far the researcher has been able to do justice to the topic through sound argumentation, evidence, and critical insight.
